Sidewalk Arts Festival in Savannah 2013
Every year SCAD hosts the Sidewalk Arts Festival here in Savannah, this past weekend the college ministry of Bull St. Baptist Church had three squares. My friends Paige, Kat and Jordyn took over the planning and what a great team they made. The verses we focused our design on was Isaiah 55: 1-5. Given below the verse speaks of the free gift of everlasting life the Lord offers to all. “Come to the Waters” became the title of our square and we were able to share the gospel in the midst of one of the most high trafficked times in Forsyth Park. I love my Abba so much and I praise Him for giving me this gift and I am so happy to share that news with everyone. Come if you thirst, He will quench it once and for all.
The Compassion of the Lord
“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;
and he who has no money,come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live;
hand I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
in my steadfast, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples,
a leader and commander for the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know,
and ma nation that did not know you shall run to you,
because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel,
for he has glorified you.” (Isaiah 55:1-5, ESV)
